Medallion Programme

Welcome to the Fitness Champs Lifesaving & Bronze Medallion Programme — a structured and progressive pathway designed to equip students with essential water safety, rescue, and resuscitation skills.

This programme is delivered in a consistent, supportive learning environment, helping students develop confidence, competence, and readiness for real-life aquatic emergencies.

Who Can Join

Adults and youths aged 10 years old and above
Must have achieved SwimSafer Bronze Stage

Programme Overview

Students will complete three Lifesaving certifications before progressing to the Bronze Medallion:

Lifesaving 1

Introduction to water safety
Understanding aquatic risks
Land-based, non-contact rescue techniques

Lifesaving 2

Development of preliminary rescue skills
Introduction to resuscitation techniques
Enhanced water safety knowledge

Lifesaving 3

Advanced water safety and rescue preparation
Resuscitation and water-based rescue skills
Prepares students for the Bronze Medallion course

Progression to Bronze Medallion

Upon successful completion of Lifesaving 1, 2, and 3, students may progress to the Bronze Medallion Programme.

CPR Requirement

All students must obtain a valid CPR certification before enrolling in the Bronze Medallion course.

SLSS CPR (+ SRFAC CPR + AED)

One-day programme
Delivered by the SLSS Centralised Training Centre
Includes:
- SRFAC-accredited CPR + AED examination (certification issued upon passing)
- SLSS CPR requirement training and assessment

Bronze Medallion (BM)

Minimum age: 14 years old and above
Establishes a basic level of proficiency in:
- Aquatic rescue knowledge
- Emergency response and decision-making
- Practical rescue and resuscitation skills

The Bronze Medallion is a nationally recognised qualification and a key step towards becoming a certified lifeguard.
